Obese body, hairy face, acne & blackheads, excess oil production on face & irregular periods are all symptoms of PCOS. People never spend even a moment considering a girl’s situation before calling her Chubby in a gathering. All the time, everyone keeps pointing out unwanted facial hair. They keep on suggesting her “Keep waxing” or “Rub honey, lemon then alums over your chin & jawline to get permanent removal of hair” or “eat XYZ herbal mix from XYZ store”… & yes, for acne, everyone has their own tried n tested shit. From Baking Soda to Neem wash, from aloe vera to formula cream. In every event, from college cafes to family picnics & random visitors everyone is a DYI champ but, no one suggests she dig out the real cause.

DIY WORKS FOR PCOS?

Dear Influencers! Your suggested morning Lime water, moringa, chia seeds, garlic vinegar, saffron, etc. are of no use. have you applied these mixtures ever on your face before suggesting this to a teenager to torment her routine acne into Acne Vulgaris.

Lemons are acidic in nature so never apply directly on face
Often people suggest lemon for the face which is wrong if applied directly due to its acidic nature.

Do you think these social media influencers have flawless skins due to the use of their suggested herbs, face packs & diet plans?

No one thinks before advising. This SOCIAL MEDIA influenced society has new standards of beauty inspired by the fake world of glamour. A perfect slim (but busted), fair with clean skin, thick straight hair & perfect active body walking & smiling. No one cares for the confidence.

What is PCOS?

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition in which the ovaries produce an abnormal amount of androgens, male sex hormones that are usually present in women in small amounts. The name polycystic ovary syndrome describes the numerous small cysts (fluid-filled sacs) that form in the ovaries.

If remain untreated, PCOS may generate several complications.

Complications of PCOS can include:

  • Infertility
  • Gestational diabetes or pregnancy-induced high blood pressure
  • Miscarriage or premature birth
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Type 2 diabetes or prediabetes
  • Sleep apnea
  • Depression, anxiety & eating disorders
  • Abnormal uterine bleeding
  • Cancer of the uterine lining (endometrial cancer)

EndNote

Please, don’t get cheated by people. Excessive oil, Acne, Irregular Periods, Fat tendency & abnormal weight gain, facial hair are all related to your ovaries. These are all indications of PCOS. PCOS must be treated properly. It is nothing to be ashamed of. Get a specialist to treat you not the jealous aunties & DYI hacks or your parlor ladies. Do not experiment with your precious body. A woman is the strongest creature of God. Be confident & shine bright.

Do not forget to spread awareness about PCOS. Let us all normalize talking about it.
